Dinner at Kaimuki Grill (Kaimuki, Hawaii)
Ok, so can't say that we expected this place to be like it was. We thought we were going to a restaurant, but turns out it is basically a bar and so the menu was completely family style pupus. But since it was new we decided to order anyways and see what the food was like. We were very happy that we did.
Fried rice. I don't recall specifically what we had them leave out of it, but there is a lot more stuff that they would put in the fried rice. We just stuck with the basics. Rice, egg, lup chong.
The fried nooldes also had more to it than you see here, but again I forget what we had them leave off. For $5.00 this is a GREAT deal and it was ONO!
Pork Chops. YUM!!! Super soft and tasty.
The waitress mentioned that the owner used to run bars before and then bought a flower business that he recently sold to go back to his first love which is more of a bar. She said that they will soon be having lunch bentos and have also talked about possibly having breakfast too.

Waialae School Earth Day Cocktail Table Prototype
Ok, without any time to spare practically too I finished and tested the prototype of what is supposed to become a set of 8 tables along the walkway for Saturday's Earth Day event at the school.
So far everything that was used to make the table has been "recycled". Things people were going to throw out or was just around their house not being used. Thanks @jeannemariepics for your help with the boxes today!
Time to go into "mass production" mode as there are 7 more to make before Saturday. Hopefully I get the rest of the "table tops" tomorrow morning. Thanks @BCDLane from Big City Diner for your assistance here too!

eXtenze for Kids? WTH!
When I went to take a shower today I found a package that my wife put in the bathroom. It was for a product called "Magic Grow". Now my first thought was, "Geeze, how much bigger does she want it to be?!" Ok, ok, stop laughing. Anyways, so I pick up the package to read what it says on it.
Simple enough. Just add water and the neat part is you can watch it too!
Promises growth of 12 to 16 inches! That actually sounds a little painful to me, but hey to each their own.
Now all of this is fine and dandy. Heck the thing only cost 88 cents so what harm can come from seeing what it can do right? Well my biggest concern came from reading that it is meant for Age 4+. Isn't it enough that this industry runs their commercials all the time on television. But to blatantly put on their packaging that it is good for someone as young as 4 years old is just appalling to me.
That being said, I'm sure my sons will have a grand old time with it the next time they go to take a bath. I know I did when I had it before.
So how many of you got got? If you did, DM me because we were meant to have long stupid conversations while laughing uncontrollably about nothing really.

Queen's BBQ - Fried chicken plate all rice (Kakaako, Hawaii)
Was kind of a weird lunch today. Stopped by Queen's BBQ and had to try the fried chicken since everyone says that they make great fried chicken. And it was ONO! That is not the weird part. After picking up lunch I decided to stop at the beach to eat my lunch before heading home. I ate only one piece of chicken and a scoop of rice and then I felt very full so I stopped and decided to save my lunch.
In the meantime I noticed this obviously homeless dude walking around sifting through trash cans and basically talking to himself and the pigeons that were listening. After a while I see him pull what looked to be what was left of a Zippy's mini chicken bento out of a trash can and then he sat down and leaned against a tree in front of me and proceeded to pick out something that was in the plate and then started to eat what was mostly rice and some mostly eaten bones of chicken.
Well needless to say that was slightly disturbing to me and then I remembered that I had two good pieces of chicken and two scoops of rice still with me. So I took the plate lunch to him and told him he could have it and that there was two very ono pieces of chicken in it. He mumbled something like "I'm ok." but I left the plate there and went back to my car. I watched him still eat the trash plate for a bit and then he turned to the lunch I left and opened it up and started to eat.
I guess why I felt it was something that was meant to be is that I really had no reason to have stopped eating when I did but something made me stop. And when I saw the homeless dude I knew that he probably could use the food more. I'm not even sure if that makes sense. I'm not a very religious person, but I do believe that I am somewhat spiritual in that I believe in a greater power that intervenes when necessary. This seemed to be one of those times however small it was.
Oh, and as a side note, even hungry homeless people can be picky. I saw him taking the cabbage out of the plate and tossing it. The dude doesn't like veggies just like me! Divine intervention for sure.
